NOTE:

If you plan to visit Tokyo Disneyland, you need to know that Tokyo Disneyland only accepts the JCB (Japan Commerce Bank) Credit Card, and does not accept Mastercard, Visa, Amex, Discover etc cards.

This is a result of an exclusive deal with the Japan Commerce Bank, who are a major sponsor of the park.

Having said that, Japan is a relatively safe place to visit, and it's common practice to carry reasonable quantities of cash, so the majority of Tokyo Disneyland visitors pay for their day at the park using cash.

Most of the major stores in the area, including strangely the local Disney Store will happily accept all major credit cards - it's just the Park that doesn't....
