Why visit Walt Disney World ?

[ Disney Vacation Planner ]

At A Glance

Every holiday destination appeals to different people for different reasons, but Florida, and Walt Disney World in particular holds a special place in most people's imagination.

Nestling in over 43 square miles of central Floridian countryside, the Walt Disney World Resort is the world's single most popular tourist attraction (and is also the world's number one Honeymoon destination). A magical place with a wealth of entertainment for the young, and young at heart, and where millions of people visit every year, to escape the reality of modern times, and submerse themselves in a squeaky-clean fantasy world where dreams come true and a 6-foot mouse rules the show.

Until you've been to the WDW resort and experienced the "Disney Magic" it is difficult to imagine spending more than a day in a theme park without loosing interest, but in reality the parks hold so much to see and do, that from the minute you exit the Ticket & Transportation Centre and enter the park itself, the minutes blend into hours, and before you know it it'll be time to leave the park for the night.

Those adults not exhausted from a days walking around the various attractions, can then hop onto a bus over to Pleasure Island, an adult playground of night-clubs, where New-Year's Eve is celebrated every night of the week.

From the daily parades, and Mickey's Toontown Fair where Mickey and his friends entertain younger audiences, through magnificent planted gardens, rides such as Space Mountain in Tomorrowland, Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain in Frontierland to the Awesome Twilight Zone Tower of Terror 2 in the Disney-MGM Studios and the staggering evening fireworks displays such as "Fantasy in the Sky" and "IllumiNations", the WDW experience is something that can only partially be explained on a web page.

Hotel conneseuirs will also find much to enjoy, at the many Disney themed hotels, from the budget All Star hotels with their sports and music themes, through to hotels such at the Polynesian Beach Resort, the ultra modern Contemporary Resort where the WDW Monorail travels through the hotel lobby, and the absolutely magnificent Grand Floridian Beach Resort with it's vistorian theme, along with the many other hotels that go to make up the WDW Resort.
