Tapestry of Dreams
[Disney Vacation Planner]
The Tapestry of Dreams (originally called the Parade of
Nations, and then Tapestry of Nations) show took the longest time
to prepare of any of Disney's shows and parades currently being
presented within any of the Disney parks, and is currently being
presented as part of the 100th anniversary celebrations.
The Saga of Time is a twice daily parade around the World
Showcase featuring over one hundred larger than life puppets along
with various performers and musicians. Most of the puppets feature
visible puppeteers (one of the signatures of the parade's co-designer
Michael Curry). Many of the performers will be on stilts which
will put the cast members around 17 feet in the air. The performers
will represent some 21 different countries and continents from
around the world.
Each group of performers simultaneously appear onto the promenade
from all around the World Showcase. Guests will also be encouraged
to join in the fun, in much the same was as happened during the
25th anniversarey celebration parades at The Magic Kingdom.
Following the evening parade, Illuminations: Reflections of Life
features large flaming torches lighting the water's edge of World
Showcase Lagoon, and hundreds of floating glass buoys flood the
surface of the lagoon with colored lights.
