Originating at Disneyland,
the Main Street Electrical Parade has made several appearances
at Walt Disney World. |
The Main Street Electrical Parade originated at Disneyland
in California was duplicated at The Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney
World, starting on 11th June 1977. Originally it ran for a little
over 14 years, coming to an end on 14th Septeber 1991 when it
was replaced by Spectromagic.
The parade features over 700,000 lights all animated
to music from a variant of the "Baroque Hoedown" but
with several Disney signature theme tunes worked into the score.
It is scheduled to make a return to the Magic Kingdom
on Florida again on 21st May 1999.
