At A Glance Originating at Disneyland, the Main Street Electrical Parade has made several appearances at Walt Disney World.

 

The Main Street Electrical Parade originated at Disneyland in California was duplicated at The Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World, starting on 11th June 1977. Originally it ran for a little over 14 years, coming to an end on 14th Septeber 1991 when it was replaced by Spectromagic.

The parade features over 700,000 lights all animated to music from a variant of the "Baroque Hoedown" but with several Disney signature theme tunes worked into the score.

It is scheduled to make a return to the Magic Kingdom on Florida again on 21st May 1999.
