American Pavillion

[Disney Vacation Planner]

At A Glance America is the sixth and central country in the World Showcase, lying at the middle of the journey around the World Showcase in between Italy and Japan.

America is the sixth and central country in the World Showcase, lying at the middle of the journey around the World Showcase in between Italy and Japan. It is also the smallest of the showcase countries, and is more a celebration of the country's history and constitution than anything.

Themed within an 18th century setting, the pavillion features a faithful replica of Philadelphia's Liberty Hall, outside which a fife and drum band often forms part of the street entertainment. The Hall itself houses the 29-minute American Adventure Show which uses film and audio animatronics to document the history, statesmen and heroes of America with plenty of patriotism.

Outside the Hall, replica American antiques are sold by the barrowload (literally) on handcarts, and The All American Red, White & Blue shop is filled with various items of Americana, but other than that there's little else to shop for in the American pavillion.

Fast food is taken care of at the Liberty Inn, but unless you're a dedicated McDonalds fan it's likely that this fast-food joint will be disapointing, but there's no other food options available.

Elaborate street performances with varying programmes throughout the year can be seen at the American Gardens Theatre, with the Liberty Inn providing some outdoor seating under trees, which can be a nice spot to relax and listen to the performances for a while, before hurrying on with the tour to Japan.
