America on Parade was a special American Bicentennial
parade at Walt Disney World in Florida from 6th June 1975 until
6th September 1976.
The floats in the parade, complete with actors representing
influential figures (with largely oversized heads), recounted
the story of America's history, achievements, and culture from
it's early quaker and pioneering days, through to the present,
all set to popular American songs.
The parade was led by Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and
featured Goofy as the "Spirit of '76."
