The
Liberty Arcade is a covered walkway that runs along Main Street
USA on the left as you face the Castle from the main entrance
to the theme park.
Progressing along the walkway allows guests to follow
the story of the Statue of Liberty, which was presented to the
United States by France in 1886. It is often forgotten that the
Statue of Liberty relies on a steel framed construction provided
through the engineering genius of Gustave Eiffel, creator of the
Eiffel Tower.
The Liberty Arcade is closed in, and roofed, and along
with the Discovery Arcade on the other side of Main Street it
runs almost all the way along the street behind the stores, most
of which have a rear entrance into the arcade, so it's an ideal
way to travel along the length of Main Street USA if the weather
isn't all that good. Also there are a couple of small stores within
the arcade area itself that would be missed by anyone that just
headed straight down Main Street each time they visited the theme
park.
The Liberty Arcade is paralleled on the other side
of Main Street by the Discovery Arcade.
