Merry go Round in Fantasyland at Disneyland Paris is a very ornate
and detailed fairground style merry go round, which is a favourite
ride for children, particularly when the weather's nice and sunny.
The ride features exquisitely painted horses, embossed
with coloured gems, with silver, gold or bronze shoes, the most
ornate of which are located towards the outside of the ride. There
are also a number of carriages, resembling large semi circular
seated areas, which are located in between the horses.
The ride tends to attract reasonably long queues,
so given the ride duration of around 90 seconds or so, if there's
a queue it's worth giving the ride a miss, nice as it is, in favour
of some of the other more interesting attractions elsewhere in
Fantasyland.
The ride is particularly attractive after dark, when
subtle and romantic lighting make it a really magical attraction.
It is also, unfortunately, a particularly cold and
miserable attraction when the weather's bad.
