Alamo

The Alamo rental pound is located away from the main Orlando International Airport, but is reached by a free shuttle bus that leaves the airport at regular intervals. The trip from the airport to the rental pound takes ap[proximately 10 to 15 minutes, depending on traffic and is free of charge.

Different people report different experiences at Alamo, but generally the average wait timeseems to be between 10 and 15 minutes (although some people have reported much longer waits). If there is likely to be a delay of more than 15 minutes to be server Alamo hand out pagers, and will page people on a first-come first served basis.

As with all of the rental companies in the area, Alamo handle rentals from small compact cars (basically 2-seaters with room for a little luggage), through various saloons and convertibles, right up to large minibus style vehicles. They also regularly do some very good offers on upgrades, particularly to the less popular vehicles.
